I. MAIN MISSION – RESPONSIBILITY:
Under the authority of his/her line manager, the project manager:
• Ensures the project management (monitoring),
• Participates with the departments concerned in negotiations that are internal and external to the project, mainly with prime contractors, building companies, subcontractors and other stakeholders in the project,
• Carries out with the prime contractor and the relevant departments the verification and validation of commitments and work situations before they are transmitted to the departments concerned,
• Ensures, at the site, the successful conduct of works, safety of goods and people and the meeting of deadlines and the respect of the technical requirements by building companies,
• Organizes and runs periodical meetings on the progress of works as well as specific technical meetings,
• Organizes and runs with the prime contractor and the departments concerned the provisional and final acceptance of the project deliverables,
• Monitors and controls the reserves removal,
• Provides internal and external reporting,
• Supports the document holdings management (technical, administrative, accounting and financial)
• Ensures the safety of the IP once it is delivered and is tasked to its management.
II. OBJECTIVES
Ensures the achievement of the project within the time limits, the required quality and at much lower costs, in accordance with the contractual terms.
III. DEGREES AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Hold an engineering degree in the sector of activity or an equivalent recognized diploma,
• Having taken a course in the running of projects,
• Have a proven track record that has lead to the acquisition of the skills required in the running of projects.
Specific requirements:
- Have the skills of command for the running of teams and their maintaining at a high level of performance.
- Have communication skills, have an analytical mind and be able to synthesize.
